Loser/Queen

I regularly force myself to read teen drama books, even though they aren't my cup of tea. I really hate the boyfriend drama, and close-mindedness of teen drama. I hate the use of weird (like when they talk about Japan, which is really offensive), or their tolerance of certain things (like how they think some boys are "soo cute" or some are "totally gross"). Why do I get those? Because that's  60% of what my library has to offer. Some are really cool, like any Maureen Johnson books. And some are, dare I say totally gross. I finished Loser/Queen, and I must say, it wasn't that bad, but it was hard to pick up. It wasn't something I devoured. Sorry that I didn't post much about this book. I just didn't find it that blog-worthy.

Loser/Queen

So, I'm pretty sure the "mysterious" texter is Luke. It kind of fits. It's kind of like an average teen book. A long time crush, a mean girl, beat friend, etc. I enjoy her knitting and her helping in the animal shelter, though.
Okay, so I started Loser/Queen.

It's about a girl named Cammy, who is your basic loser. She has a bunch of embaressing scenes in her school. Suddenly, a text pops up that might help her climb to be the Queen of the school. Who is the texter? Will she reach her throne? Will she get her prince? Will the evil forces of high school stop her? Let's dive.
Konnichiwa! I had a major book hall from the library this weekend. Here are some of the books I got:

  • The Clockwork Scarab
  • Zombies vs Unicorns
  • Loser/queen
  • The Masque of the Red Death
  • An Ember in the Ashes
  • Voice Over (Manga)
  • Nightspell
  • Tokyo Heist
  • Who Done It?
  • Thirteen Reasons Why
  • Fangirl
I also got the sequel to Masque of the Red Death. ANd I got volumes 1-3 of Voice Over!I can't wait to start reading!
